Accessibility Statement
Kennedy AI is committed to making our education, career-guidance and operational-intelligence platform usable by everyone, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive and neurological disabilities.
Conformance status
Kennedy AI aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We assess the platform as partially conformant: most of the product meets level AA, with the Phase 2 exceptions listed below. Accessibility is verified through automated axe-core tests that run against every page in our test suite, plus manual keyboard and screen-reader review (VoiceOver, NVDA).

Accessibility features we support
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) with a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Full keyboard operation: every control is reachable with Tab and operable with Enter or Space, and dialogs trap focus and close with Escape.
- Visible focus indicators with a minimum 2px outline and a 3:1 contrast offset ring (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured, 2.4.13 Focus Appearance).
- Text and interface contrast at or above 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text, icons and borders, plus an optional high-contrast mode.
- Information is never conveyed by colour alone — status uses text labels and icons alongside colour.
- Form fields have persistent visible labels, autocomplete hints, inline error messages announced to screen readers, and errors are described in text (SC 3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3).
- AI responses stream into a polite live region so screen-reader users hear new content without losing their place.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels with adequate spacing (SC 2.5.8 Target Size Minimum).
- Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling at 320 CSS pixels wide and remain usable at 200% zoom and 200% text enlargement (SC 1.4.4, 1.4.10).
- Motion respects the operating-system reduced-motion setting and can be switched off in Accessibility settings (SC 2.3.3).
- Optional read-aloud (text to speech) for AI answers and long passages.
- No content flashes more than three times per second (SC 2.3.1).

Known limitations
STEM Quest Universe immersive worlds
The 21 immersive worlds are Phase 2 features shown today as accessible, keyboard-operable placeholder cards. When the interactive experiences ship, each will include keyboard controls, captions, audio descriptions and a text transcript alternative before release.
Multimedia (music, narration, eBooks)
StoryVerse AI and Story World audio and video are not yet published. Our release standard requires synchronised captions (SC 1.2.2), audio description or a media alternative (SC 1.2.3, 1.2.5) and a downloadable transcript for every media item.
AI-generated text
AI answers are generated in real time, so we cannot guarantee reading level in advance. Read-aloud, text resizing and plain-language prompts are provided, and you can always ask the assistant to simplify an answer.
